Stout Street Hospitality reported today that its third-party hotel reservation system, The Sabre Hospitality Solutions SynXis, was the victim of a recent security incident.

Following an examination of evidence, Sabre alerted Stout Street Hospitality on June 6, 2017 that an unauthorized party gained access to account credentials that permitted unlawful access to unencrypted payment card information, as well as certain reservation information for a subset of hotel reservation processed through the system.

The investigation determined that the unauthorized party first obtained access to payment card and other reservation information on Aug. 10, 2016. The last access to payment card information was on March 9, 2017. To support its investigation, Sabre engaged a leading cybersecurity firm, Mandiant, and notified law enforcement and the payment card brands about this incident.

"We value the relationship with our guests and understand the importance of data security," said Sarah Treadway, co-chief executive officer for Stout Street Hospitality. "We know that Sabre, our reservations partner, is not the first company to be victimized by this kind of attack, but our greatest concern is for our guests who may be affected as well."

Stout Street-managed hotels impacted by this breach include Magnolia hotels in Omaha, St. Louis, Denver, Dallas, Houston and Park Cities, Texas as well as Winter Park Mountain Lodge.

Guests who stayed at one of the properties between Aug. 10, 2016 and March 9, 2017 are encouraged to visit http://www.sabreconsumernotice.com/ for more information.
