Teledex M Series telephones are helping to resolve the mobile connectivity challenge via an optional integrated Wi-Fi access point designed to support improved guest connectivity by placing the wireless connection point directly in the guest room.

The guest may alternatively plug into the M Series telephone Ethernet port for secure online communications.

According to a 2011 New York Times survey, back in the early days of hotel WiFi, access per night was under 10 percent of the available room nights, not the actual room nights rented. Now it’s over 60, if not 70 percent of the rooms rented. As if bandwidth wasn’t already a challenge for hoteliers, placement of WiFi access points in a ceiling down the hall exacerbates the problem of supporting multiple smart devices in the room.

In addition to helping facilitate in-room connectivity, M Series telephones also connect multiple guest wireless smart devices in the guest room via Bluetooth technology to place and receive calls on the over their own cell network, and facilitate guest music streaming and speakerphone calls via a high performance built-in music-grade stereo sound system that replaces stand-alone audio devices in the guest room. Two side-mounted M Series USB ports support charging of both smartphones and tablets.

For the first time ever hotel guests are able to use the in-room phone handset or speaker as an extension of their smartphone, answering and placing mobile phone calls using the desk handset or speakerphone for a more relaxed, professional calling experience. Road warriors will appreciate the increased productivity and the comfortable, familiar feel of a desk phone without incurring costly guestroom phone charges.

Patented Teledex OneTouch voice mail retrieval technology automates guest messaging by automatically activating the speakerphone and speed dialing into guest voice mailbox. AutoSync M Series cordless RediDock handsets automatically register with the base unit when in the cradle to eliminate connection failures with misplaced handsets.

“Our commitment, history and innovation drive the Cetis Advantage," said president and CEO Dr. Bing N. Sun. "The form, function and design of new M Series are a testament to that commitment. It is, essentially, the guestroom telephone…redefined. More than just a telephone, M Series is changing in-room connectivity.”

“These phones are groundbreaking on so many levels,” said John Grubb, Cetis vice president of sales and marketing. “They are not only visually appealing, but incorporate never-before-seen feature sets that are intuitive, easy for the guest to use and add a level of convenience that truly impacts the guest experience.”
