Shift4 Payments Announces Acquisition and Integration of Three Leading Point-of-sale Brands
Shift4 Payments announced the acquisition of industry-leading point-of-sale (POS) brands Restaurant Manager, POSitouch and Future POS. The acquisition of these major companies, as well as their subsequent integration into the Shift4 Payments platform, is sure to transform the landscape within the entire financial technology industry. These acquisitions represent a significant share of the hospitality POS market and join Harbortouch in the Shift4 family of POS brands. These best-in-class POS companies add nearly 100,000 merchants to the Shift4 Payments platform, including some of the biggest national chain restaurants such as Wendy’s, Arby’s, Denny’s, KFC, Outback Steakhouse, Bonefish Grill and Dairy Queen.

Choice Hotels Completes Acquisition of WoodSpring Suites Brand and Franchise Business
Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH), one of the world's largest hotel companies, completed its acquisition of the brand and franchise business of WoodSpring Suites, an extended-stay lodging brand, from WoodSpring Hotels LLC. The acquisition was announced on December 18, 2017, and adds nearly 240 extended-stay hotels in 35 states to the Choice Hotels portfolio, creating an extended-stay portfolio of more than 350 properties with existing brands, MainStay Suites and Suburban Extended Stay.
