Agilysys Donates Property Management Software to University of Nevada, Las Vegas, to Assist Hospitality Students in Practical Learning
Agilysys, Inc., a leading global provider of next-generation hospitality software solutions and services, and UNLV’s Harrah College of Hospitality, announced that Agilysys is providing its industry-leading property management system, LMS®, for use by students and teachers as part of the hospitality educational program at the college. Installation of the software, training of employees and ongoing support are included in the partnership, allowing the college to provide students an opportunity to practice their skills in real-world settings.

HSMAI Announces Americas Board of Directors and Executive Committee for 2018
The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) announced its 2018 Americas Board of Directors and Executive Committee. The board comprises a diverse range of executives from a representative mix of HSMAI members. Mark Thompson, CHBA, CHDM, senior vice president of tourism at VisitDallas, steps into the first year of his term as HSMAI Americas chair. Bringing 25 years of experience in tourism and hospitality, with specialties in marketing strategy and public relations, Thompson has also served as chairman of the DFW Area Tourism Council and of the Tourism Alliance of North Texas.

IDeaS Announces 2017 Cornell Revenue Management Scholarship Recipients
IDeaS Revenue Solutions, a leading provider of revenue management software solutions and advisory services, announced the 2017 IDeaS Cornell Management Scholarship winners. Latin American Hospitality School Partners with SiteMinder to Support the Careers of Future Hoteliers
Tourism and hospitality students of Duoc UC in Chile now have the opportunity to learn about technology that can support their future careers running a hotel, thanks to the college’s partnership with a leading cloud platform, SiteMinder. As part of their education, the group of third-year students recently learned from SiteMinder about the various technologies available to run a hotel business more efficiently – and Duoc UC’s professor says the course is likely to run again later this year.
