Mobi.AI, a leader in data science, optimization, and AI personalization, today announced the appointment of Andrew Boch as Chief Executive Officer. Boch steps into the role following three years as Mobi’s Chief Operating Officer, during which he played a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and aligning Mobi’s strategy with the fast-evolving needs of enterprise customers. Boch succeeds Mobi’s first CEO and co-founder, Anna Jaffe, who will transition to a role on the board of directors.

As the company embarks on its next phase, Mobi’s leadership remains grounded in relevant experience and strength. Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Peng Yu will continue to lead the company’s technical engineering, signaling consistency across the day-to-day technical development. Yu and Boch will work in tandem as a seasoned leadership team to move Mobi’s vision forward.

Boch is uniquely equipped to lead Mobi into its next chapter, with over 20 years of experience helping startups scale from early stage to market leadership, including transformative roles at Hopper and LevelUp. His proven track record in growth operations, combined with deep expertise in AI-powered development, positions him to guide the company through an ambitious phase of expansion and product refinement.

"I'm honored to lead this capable, driven and committed team to further innovation in priority areas of data science, optimization and AI personalization. Mobi is incredibly well-positioned to be at the forefront of delivering real value to customers through human collaborative AI and automation," said Boch. “As we enter this next phase, we’re more focused than ever on delivering scalable solutions for our customers, both old and new."

As part of this leadership transition, Mobi is also announcing two key staffing updates:

  • Jim Russell, who joined Mobi in 2024 and brought decades of experience in operational leadership with roles at ITA Software and Google Flights, will transition into an advisor and consultant role. Russell came out of retirement to support Mobi’s growth journey, leading product and engineering alongside Yu. His insights have helped shape the company’s trajectory, from actively navigating customer proposals to leading technical strategy. He will continue to support the executive team while enjoying a well-earned retirement.
  • Harriet Brown has been promoted to Chief Product Officer. Brown has been instrumental in developing some of Mobi’s most innovative offerings, including Intent Driven Search. Also hailing from ITA and Google Flights, Brown’s background in travel technology offered a seamless introduction to Mobi, where she was able to immediately offer trusted leadership over product development. Her promotion reflects the company’s renewed commitment to strategic product development grounded in customer needs.

While Mobi’s leadership evolves, its core mission remains unchanged: empowering organizations to solve complex, real-world problems through automation, optimization and human collaborative AI. The company is now sharpening its focus across three high-impact solution areas: travel planning and optimization, continuous planning systems and logistics process automation.

“Anna’s impact on Mobi will be lasting for years to come. From the earliest days, she had a clear vision: that AI could be a practical, collaborative force to solve real-world challenges,” said Marc Weiser, board member. “She was able to create and maintain genuine relationships with her customers and employees, leading Mobi to forge lasting partnerships and a clear upward trajectory. We’re eager to see Andrew continue this impressive legacy.”

As Mobi enters its next chapter, Boch’s appointment signals a forward-looking, grounded vision. With deep institutional knowledge and decades of strategic expertise, Boch brings the stability, insight and optimism needed to lead Mobi into its next stage. Mobi expects its existing platforms and solutions to continue to deliver double-digit top-line growth while expanding into new industries and verticals with triple-digit scaling opportunities.
