AAHOA (Asian American Hotel Owners Association) today applauds the U.S. House of Representatives for passing critical tax legislation that supports small business owners, including America’s hotel owners.

The passage of the One Big, Beautiful Bill marks a significant step toward ensuring long-term economic growth and stability for Main Street entrepreneurs. The bill includes key provisions such as tax relief for working families, incentives for reinvestment, and enhanced certainty for business planning—measures that will directly benefit AAHOA’s nearly 20,000 members and the 1 million careers they support.

“We commend Speaker Mike Johnson and House leaders for advancing this much-needed legislation that prioritizes the needs of small business owners,” said AAHOA Chairman Kamalesh (KP) Patel. “This is a big win for hotel owners and the communities they serve.”

“As job creators on the frontlines of America’s hospitality sector, our members depend on smart tax policy that enables growth and supports workforce development,” said AAHOA President & CEO Laura Lee Blake. “We urge the U.S. Senate to act quickly and send this bill to the President’s desk.”

AAHOA remains committed to advocating for legislative solutions that empower small businesses, create jobs, and drive economic opportunity across the country.

AAHOA is the largest hotel owners association in the world, with Member-owned properties representing a significant part of the U.S. economy. AAHOA's 20,000 members own 60% of the hotels in the United States and are responsible for 1.7% of the nation’s GDP. More than one million employees work at AAHOA member-owned hotels, earning $47 billion annually, and member-owned hotels support 4.2 million U.S. jobs across all sectors of the hospitality industry. AAHOA's mission is to advance and protect the business interests of hotel owners through advocacy, industry leadership, professional development, member benefits, and community engagement.
