Dear Readers, As we embrace the warmth and vibrancy of summer, we're excited to bring you the latest issue of Hospitality Upgrade Magazine.

This season not only heralds a time for rejuvenation but also highlights the spirit of innovation and collaboration that our industry embodies.

Recently, we held the Executive Vendor Summit in Louisville, KY. It was a resounding success, bringing together many of the vendors on the HITEC floor to discuss trends, share experiences, and discuss ways to make the industry better for all of us. The collaborative spirit of the Summit is shared
in detail just a few pages away.

The major highlight is the eagerly anticipated HITEC (Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference) where thousands of industry professionals will converge to explore the latest breakthroughs in hospitality technology. It will be a massive experience filled with lots of discussions and networking opportunities. Among the many remarkable aspects of HITEC, the e20X innovation pitch competition will once again be a glimpse into the future of hospitality technology of innovation and the entrepreneurship of our future suppliers. You won't want to miss it.

As we celebrate these advancements, we must also take a moment to remember a friend who we lost. It's with deep sadness that we reflect on the passing of Jason Smith, Vice President of Marketing Communications at the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) and a member of this year’s HITEC Advisory Committee. Over his remarkable 24-year tenure with HSMAI, Jason served with distinction, dedication and exceptional leadership. He was instrumental in advancing the association’s marketing communications initiatives, overseeing public relations efforts, and shaping the digital presence of HSMAI. Jason’s creativity, strategic insight and unwavering commitment to excellence have left an indelible mark on our industry. As a respected leader, trusted colleague, and admired mentor, his contributions will continue to inspire us all.

In this issue, we invite you to dive into insightful articles that capture the pulse of our industry, infused with both innovation and the remembrance of those who have shaped our journey. Together, let’s move forward inspired by the potential ahead and the memories that guide us.
