The Danville Hotel Collection, a developer and asset manager known for transforming historic properties into vibrant boutique destinations and supported by Retro Hospitality, has selected Mews, the leading operating system for hospitality and shared spaces, to power its growing portfolio. The partnership will bring The Laurel Hotel, The Bee Hotel and The Holbrook Hotel onto a unified modern platform that streamlines operations, strengthens guest engagement and supports scalable growth.

Celebrated for honoring Danville’s rich heritage and community spirit, the collection spans award-winning boutique stays, extended stay accommodations, and a forthcoming flagship opening in 2026. Together with Mews, The Danville Hotel Collection is set to elevate the guest experience and future-proof its expanding portfolio.

As Danville’s tourism sector accelerates and new developments advance across DHC’s Hospitality portfolio, the Collection sought a next-generation PMS that could automate manual work for small teams, strengthen direct booking opportunities, integrate seamlessly with F&B and event management systems, and centralize reporting for asset management and future growth.

“Mews is a perfect fit for our reimagined, one-of-a-kind properties,” said Bob McDonald, Asset Manager at Danville Hotel Collection. “Our previous platform limited how far we could go. With Mews, we’re elevating marketing, guest engagement and operational flexibility. It removes many day-to-day headaches – from check-ins and payments to managing guest profiles – and the seamless communication across teams plus integrations will save us valuable time and help us deliver an even stronger guest experience. Most importantly, our on-the-ground leadership team, led by Madison Eades, had the final say in the decision, ensuring the platform truly supports daily operations.”

Michael Coscetta, President of Mews, commented “The Danville Hotel Collection shows how technology and heritage can work hand in hand. With Mews, their properties can automate manual processes, scale efficiently, and build deeper guest connections, and we’re excited to be part of their next chapter.”

The Laurel Hotel will be the first property to go live in February 2026, followed by The Holbrook and The Bee. The Collection sees this as a key milestone in supporting future growth, with more historic projects planned under the DHC umbrella.

The Founder of Mews, Richard Valtr, and CEO, Matthijs Welle, are former hoteliers with a serious passion for technology and service. Our mission is to transform an entire industry with cloud solutions that make hospitality more rewarding for everyone.
