IoT is Coming, Jon Snow…
Posted: 05/21/2019

Hospitality is prime for the coming advent of the various devices that make up the Internet of Things. Estimates show the industry now represents 17.5 million rooms worldwide and savvy guests are demanding more personalization and an overall improved guest experience along their connected travel journey and belief is that IoT can bring this to reality.

The forces driving local search rankings are constantly changing. But recent studies suggest that in 2019, four key factors make up the local search algorithm.

The most significant factor is Google My Business (GMB). If you’re not on it, get on it now.

The robotic revolution in the hospitality industry might seem to have taken a step back. This January, the famously quirky Henn-Na Hotel in Japan fired half of its 243 robot staff. The robotic workforce reportedly irritated guests and frequently broke down.

Think about the moment when you first enter your hotel room. Look around: Does the room tell you anything unique about the hotel where you are staying? Or is it all beige walls and double beds with white covers, and you have to walk back outside and look at the sign on the hotel’s facade to even remember where you are?

Hotel guests commonly bring multiple devices with them during their stay. However, many hotel environments don’t provide easy access to charging outlets. This situation can lead to a guest feeling more than inconvenienced. A recent survey found almost 90 percent of people "felt panic" when their phone battery dropped to 20 percent or below.

Why Is It Important to Have a Website Refresh?

01/24/2018 Tagged as: digital marketing, SEO, SERP, website design

In today's technological world, having a strong internet presence has become essential for every hotelier. Similarly, we can't overemphasize the importance of owning a professional-looking website. But owning a good looking website is not good enough for establishing a good presence over the Web. But you have to refresh it on a regular basis to turn your visitors into travelers. If you are a hotelier and own a site which was designed or created around three to five years before, then you should give a new design or a facelift to your site. By keeping the portal up to date and fresh, you can see a significant increase in your site visitors and hotel bookings. As well, you can boost your hotel's revenue. Here are some top reasons on why you should update your website.

Lower Bounce Rate

If your Google Analytics report shows that your portal has higher bounce rate, then it is an indication that your visitors can't easily find what they want. As the result, it may lower your conversion rate too. By updating the site structure, you not only lower bounce rate, but you can also turn your visitors into loyal customers.

Get Top Ranking in Popular Search Engines

For acquiring higher ranking in search engines, it is essential to analyze your keyword strategy time to time. In this regard, you should make a list of keywords including, long-tail, primary and secondary. To select the right keywords for image ALT tags, page titles and CTAs, you can also use Google Keyword Planner tool. By picking the right keywords, you can obtain a higher ranking in SERPs.

Increase Your Site Load Time

By updating your website, you will get an opportunity to speed up its load time. Today, most of the visitors prefer to visit a portal that loads in less than two seconds. In SEO ranking, page load speed has become the most important factor.

Gain More Exposure

On the other hand, if you want to gain more exposure over the World Wide Web, then you should consider giving a new facelift to your portal. By making a compelling and appealing site, you can attract a large number of customers toward the website.

Easily Reach to Your Audience

The recent study shows that most people search hotels from their mobile phones. So, if you have a responsive and mobile-friendly site or an app, then you can easily reach these customers.

By giving a new look and feel to your website, you can attract your customers and gain more profits and revenue. However, it doesn't mean that you have to do the complete overhaul to refresh a site. For this, you can add new content, include some call-to-action triggers or update the header image of your homepage. In this regard, you can also hire a professional who has expertise to handle this task efficiently.
