Each fall, the HFTP Annual Convention brings hospitality finance and technology professionals together for three days of insight, connection and celebration. This year's gathering at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando carried that legacy forward with warmth, energy and purpose.
Attendees explored a dynamic range of topics shaping the industry, from artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, to sustainability and evolving financial standards. Every session offered practical takeaways and thought-provoking dialogue. The focus extended beyond technical skills, with programming on leadership, communication, emotional intelligence and more.
One attendee summed up the spirit of the convention best: "HFTP stands at the forefront of hospitality innovation, empowering finance and technology leaders to connect, share knowledge and shape the future of our industry," said attendee Peter Woll, CFO for Glen Oaks Club.
The Annual Business Meeting and Installation of Officers was another standout moment. HFTP honored its outgoing leadership, including Immediate Past President Justin Taillon, CHТР, CHIA, MBA, Ph.D. and officially welcomed Jim Bina, CHAЕ+, CHTP+ as the new 2025-2026 HFTP Global President. His introduction by longtime friend Frank Santos, president and CEO of Rosen Hotels & Resorts, brought warmth and authenticity to the stage and reminded attendees just how personal this work can be. Santos is also an HFTP Past President, having served in that position in from 1987–1988.
Throughout the week, the power of HFTP's community was on full display. From the Women's Networking Breakfast to the Young Professionals Meet-Up, the event made space for meaningful connections across generations and sectors. A full lineup of table-top exhibits added further value, giving attendees the chance to speak
with solution providers and explore tools to enhance their work.
The Thursday Night Celebration turned the volume up on community and fun, with glow accessories, dancing, dueling pianos and a stand-up set from HFTP member and comedian Sandy Ehlers. Sponsored by 14IP, the event reflected the spirit that keeps members coming back year after year. As always, the convention served not only as a space for learning and networking but as a reminder of what's possible when the right people are in the room together. It was a place where ideas were sparked, leadership was elevated, and support was found in every hallway conversation. The 2025 HFTP Annual Convention was more than a professional event. It was a celebration of the people and purpose driving this industry forward.
The 2026 HFTP Annual Convention will be held September 22-24, at the Peppermill Resort, Spa & Casino in Reno, Nevada.
