At HFTP, we’ve always believed in being more than participants in this transformation; we aim to be drivers of it. That mission was clearly on display this summer as we returned from HITEC® energized and inspired by the momentum across our industry.
Since our return from HITEC (Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference), HFTP has been on the move. Our global calendar has been filled with meaningful connections, strategic initiatives and impactful events. From hosting the exclusive CIO Summits in Barcelona, Vancouver and India to bringing together thought leaders at HITEC Dubai in the MENA region, our commitment to advancing hospitality technology extends on a global scale. And we’re just getting started.
As we look ahead to the HFTP Annual Convention, taking place Oct. 22–24, 2025, in Orlando, Florida, our team is gearing up to deliver another dynamic and well-attended conference. This flagship event continues to be a vital platform for professional development, peer exchange and forward-thinking conversation in our industry.
HFTP and the Dubai Chapter recently hosted an exclusive event at the Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah, bringing together 87 senior leaders from the region’s top hotel brands. The gathering featured valuable discussion around the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI), highlighting HFTP’s ongoing role in shaping financial standards and advancing global dialogue in hospitality finance and technology.
Meanwhile, momentum continues to build behind the HFTP Vendor Task Force, a powerful initiative designed to foster collaboration, transparency and innovation between solution providers and hospitality professionals. The insights and progress emerging from this group are already shaping future standards and driving meaningful change.
I'd like to give a shout out to our staff for their hard work in all aspects of putting this issue together and coordinating with our industry partners. I'd also like to add a thank you to the HFTP Global Board and Executive Committee for their faithful dedication to pushing HFTP forward. We’re excited about what’s ahead – and we’re glad you’re on this journey with us.
This issue of Hospitality Upgrade offers a timely look at the conversations shaping our future. We hope youenjoy the insights and ideas shared in these pages.
Sincerely,
Frank Wolfe, CAE
